| What is the RatLoft™? |
|
The RatLoft™ is made from type 304 stainless steel with patterned ¼” holes
and is bent in three places.
Two bends form a hook which allows the loft to be hung from the top lip of the cage. Another
bend of 90 degrees towards the center of the cage forms a shelf or a perch where the rat/mouse can
rest. Two lofts have been fabricated, one with a fixed platform (left), our
Standard Loft, and the other with a hinged platform (right), our Hinged Loft.
The holes are laser cut and the metal is deburred and sanded. This device is easy to install
and can be left in the cage for cleaning. The stainless steel will not rust, crack, or bend.
Here an earlier model is shown installed in a standard wire mesh cage and also a shoebox cage.
